Underground car park waterproofing
Water threatens an underground car park from two sides: from the ground through the walls and from above through the deck. RubberGard EPDM is used in both places.
Walls and foundations
RubberGard EPDM 1.5 mm is also declared for foundation and wall waterproofing to EN 13967: against capillary moisture and for basement tanking. It is watertight to 400 kPa, resistant to chemicals and alkali, compatible with bitumen and root resistant.
The deck above the car park
Above the deck there is often landscaping, footpaths or a terrace. Then an inverted or ballasted build is used: membrane at the bottom, insulation, geotextile and ballast above, slabs on pedestals or a green roof on 1.5 mm membrane. If cars will drive over the deck, the build is chosen in the design.
Fewer seams
Large sheets – up to 15.25 × 30.5 m – mean fewer seams over a big area that will be impossible to reach later.
Load and design
Ballast, soil and plants are heavy, so the build is agreed with the design and the structure's load capacity – we will help. All roof options: roof systems, green roof.
