Flat roof for solar panels
Solar panels mean frames resting on the roof and people walking to service them. So this roof gets stronger layers.
What changes in the roof
- ISOGARD HD high-density cover board over the insulation spreads the load from frames and feet.
- RubberGard EPDM 1.5 mm – a thicker membrane than on a standard roof.
- Walkway pads wherever people will walk to the panels.
Better before the panels
It pays to sort out the roof before the panels go up: later the panels would have to come off to reach the roof.
