Hangar roofs
A hangar has a large, light roof on profiled steel. EPDM adds little weight and few seams to such a roof.
A light covering
RubberGard EPDM 1.1 mm weighs about 1.35 kg/m², 1.5 mm about 1.85 kg/m². That matters on a light steel structure.
Fixing without holes
The membrane is held by RubberGard RMA fastening strips fixed in lines to a profiled steel deck at least 0.75 mm thick. The membrane is bonded to the strips from above, so no fixing goes through it.
Wind
Wind loads the roof of a large, exposed building especially hard. The number and spacing of fixing lines come from a wind load calculation for your building; they are closer at edges and corners.
Large sheets
Sheets up to 15.25 × 30.5 m mean far fewer seams on a big roof. More on large roofs: factory and warehouse roofs.
